The Indigenous LEETRA journal appeared as a result of indigenous presence in the UFSCar. Thus one of the research lines of the Group are LEETRA Studies in Literature Amerindian, whose main objective is to help the implementation of Law 11,645, which was one of the great achievements for the social recognition of indigenous. It makes compulsory the teaching of History and Afro-Brazilian Culture and Indigenous in all Brazilian public and private schools, elementary and high school.
